Position title: Graduate Student, History
As a graduate student in the history department, Patrick Eickman studies the sentiments of Baltic crusaders. He is particularly interested in the Teutonic Knights and their emotional communities. In the summer of 2022 he presented his paper: "The Virgin Mary as a Zarte Mait? Authorial Judgments and the Emotionality of the Kronike von Pruzinlant" at the Inaugural Conference of the Society for the Study of Medieval Emotions in St. Andrews, Scotland.
